How should I use this report?

The Executive Dashboard is a great place to start your report viewing each day, week or month. This dashboard will provide you with a snapshot of how the key metrics are tracking and point you in the direction of which areas you need to focus on to improve your market place performance.

Some questions to ask yourself when viewing the Executive Dashboard include:

  • Which metrics are trending downward this week? Are they also showing a longer term trend over the year (view the month-by-month bar chart for this)? If so, some other good Business Insights reports to help drill into where your issues might be stemming from include:
    •  Purchasing Insights - Purchased Products by Category and Purchased Products by Brand reports - look at your top selling categories or products for the past 6 months (month by month) - have these changed significantly? Your Sales Performance Dashboard might also indicate if your average order value has dropped considerably which might be contributing to this overall decrease.
    • Inquiry Insights - Inquiry Value by Category, Brand, Product or Seller reports - has your inquiry value dropped amongst certain categories, products, brands or sellers over the past few months?
    • Google Analytics Insights - review your Google Analytics Detail Dashboard to see if any of your traffic sources have had a noticeable impact or if there is a significant bounce rate from your site.
  • Are there any seasonal or promotional factors which can attribute for the peaks or troughs you are seeing across your different metrics?
  • Which metrics are trending upward this week? If so, viewing the Purchasing, Inquiry or Google Analytics Insight reporting suites will help you to identify if these uplifts have come from specific categories, products, brands or sellers. What can you learn from these good results that can be applied elsewhere on your site?
