SETTING UP TABLEAU REPORTS
TO BE SENT DIRECTLY TO YOUR INBOX
Want to have your Business Insight Reports delivered directly to your inbox? Follow the steps below to set this function up.
STEP 1
Log in to Tableau and navigate to the report you want to set up the email subscription for.
To set up email subscriptions for a report, simply click on the 'Subscribe' icon in the top right hand side of any report.
STEP 2
Select each applicable option in the pop up menu which appears:
- You can select to only receive the current report you are in (This View) or the entire workbook of reports you are in (Entire Workbook)
- Select when you want the report delivered (End of Month/Monday Morning/Second Day of Every Month/Updating Server/Weekday Mornings)
- Change the subject title of the report (this is what will appear in the subject line of your email)
- Add a message (this will appear in the body of the email when the report is sent)
Then click 'Subscribe' and the emails will be scheduled to be sent to you at the specified time.
Click 'Manage' to view all current subscriptions and to delete any existing ones.
Managing Your subscriptions
To view all the subscriptions set up under a workbook, click on the 'Subscriptions' tab at the top of the workbook summary page. Within this tab you can edit or cancel any existing subscriptions.
Note: if the report you are setting up as a subscription has a number of filters, the subscription will email you a version of the report with the default filters applied.
